According to aNew York Times article, the case would represent one of the largest trade actions in European history, and could lead to steep tariffs on much of Chinaapos;s $20 billion in annual exports of solar products to Europe. Solar manufacturers in Europe and U.S. have faced recent bankruptcies what makes this case may worsen the sticking points in trade relations between China and the United States. This year the U.S. Commerce Department imposed tariffs of 31% on Chinese solar panels .The Chinese government has responded by accusing U.S. producers of polysilicon, of engaging in unfair trade practices and has threatened steep tariffs on the producers. TVA Among Top Utilities for Economic Development for Seven Straight Year Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), for the seventh consecutive year, ranks in the top 10 North American utilities companies, for achievement in economic development. The nomination was made by Site Selection magazine, a publication that provides expansion planning information to 44,000 executives of fast-growing firms. Some of the factors considered were: project activity, input from corporate end users and site consultants, web tools and data, and innovative programs and incentives for business. TVA?s generates electricity or 9 million people in parts of seven southeastern states, where during 2011 worked with local companies and community partners to help attract or retain more than 43,000 jobs and leverage $4.9 billion in capital investment for its service territory. MITSUBISHI HI RECEIVES FULL TURNKEY ORDER FOR 50 MW LOS AZUFRES III Japanese Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), announced they have received the permission from Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) of Mexico to build a 50 MW (megawatt) geothermal power generation plant at its Los Azufres III power station. The new geothermal power plant will provide electricity to meet strong demand in Mexico, and will be located in the Michoacan, approximately 150 miles from Mexico City.
