In Memory of Dave Schwartz – A Note from David Clark, President of The Weather Channel

Team,

It is with deep sadness that I have to let you know that our friend and colleague Dave Schwartz passed away on Saturday. As several of you know, Dave was fighting a long battle with cancer.

Dave was so special to us and we loved and admired him. He embodied the best of The Weather Channel.

Dave spent over 22 years of his career with The Weather Channel.  He was a fan and staff favorite because he so obviously loved what he did, he had a unique zen-like ability draw the audience into the fascinating world of weather, and was just a great friend. Many of us grew up watching him. His passion for weather was contagious and he inspired several young people to enter the field of meteorology. Dave made a huge contribution to The Weather Channel, there is no doubt his legacy will endure.
