Atlanta Fed Announces Two Officer Promotions to Vice President in Supervision and Regulation

Allen Stanley and Yareny Valdes have been promoted to vice president in the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Supervision and Regulation (S&R) Division.

Stanley has served in his most recent role as assistant vice president since 2004. He will oversee the S&R regional banking organization (RBO) and community banking organization portfolios. He started his career with the Atlanta Fed as an assistant examiner in S&R, where he has served in numerous roles of increasing responsibility. He holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Georgia Tech and a master’s degree in finance from Georgia State University.

Valdes has been promoted to vice president of S&R operations. She will have responsibility for division records and reports management; facilities; business continuity; professional development; staff and fiscal management; culture; diversity, equity, and inclusion; communications; quality assurance; and outreach. She will also have responsibility for S&R’s exam operations and data and analytics. Valdes joined the Atlanta Fed as an examiner in S&R at the Miami Branch in 1999 and was promoted to senior examiner in 2005 and director in 2008. In 2020, she was promoted to assistant vice president and has had a long career as a people leader. In 2018, she founded Honoring Our Latino/Hispanic Allies, a Sixth District employee resource network. Valdes earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and management information systems from Florida International University.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and sections of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. As part of the nation’s central banking system, the Atlanta Fed participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks, and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the US government.
