Arcata City Council
When: First and third Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m.
Where: City Hall Council Chamber: 736 F St., Arcata
• The council will consider a resolution calling for peace in the Middle East.
• The council will consider a resolution accepting the mid-year budget review and approving revisions for fiscal year 2023-24.
• The council will receive a report on vacant property tax measures and vacant property rules.

College of the Redwoods Board of Trustees
When: First Tuesday of the month at 1 p.m.
Where: 7351 Tompkins Hill Road, Eureka
• The CR police chief will swear in a sergeant.
• The board will consider approving travel for trustees to an annual trustees conference.
• The CR president recommends revising nonresident fees to be lower than approved. The move could lower the tuition fee per unit from $406 to $319.
• The board will consider a roof replacement in Del Norte and a skylight repair.
• The board will receive an update on accreditation.

Eureka City Council
When: First and third Tuesdays of the month at 6 p.m.
Where: Eureka City Council chambers, 531 K Street, Eureka
• The council will meet in closed session at 5 p.m. to discuss existing litigation and labor negotiations.
• The council will receive an update on the CARE Act and mental health.
• The council will consider adopting a resolution to authorize access to state and federal criminal history databases for background checks.
• The council will receive a report on the 2024 participatory budget program.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisors
When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 a.m.
Where: Supervisors chambers, 825 Fifth St., Eureka
• The board will consider spending $322,000 for a Time Study Buddy service.
• The board will receive a semi-annual report on the sanctuary ordinance.
• The board will consider the local emergency related to flooding in Humboldt County.
• The board will receive a presentation from St. Bernard’s high school leadership students.
• The board will consider making an at-large appointment to the planning commission.
• The board will receive an update from First 5 Humboldt.
• The board will receive an update from the drought task force.

Humboldt County Planning Commission
