12/11/2018 – Composite leading indicators (CLIs), designed to anticipate turning points in economic activity relative to trend six to nine months ahead, continue to signal easing growth momentum in the OECD area as a whole. 

The CLIs continue to anticipate easing growth momentum in the United Kingdom and the euro area as a whole, including France and Italy, with similar signs now emerging in Germany

Stable growth momentum remains the assessment for the United States, Japan and is now also anticipated in Canada.

Among major emerging economies, the CLI for India continues to point to growth gaining momentum while stable growth momentum remains the assessment for the industrial sector in China. In Brazil, the CLIcontinues to anticipate easing growth momentum with similar signs currently emerging in Russia
