Male Injured in Central District Shooting – SPD Blotter – Inergency
Detectives are investigating after a male was shot in the Central District Wednesday night.
Around 9:30 p.m., police responded to a reported shooting in the 1400 block of 23rd Avenue. Officers arrived and located a 30-year-old male with a gunshot wound. Police provided medical aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Initial reports suggested another male was injured during the shooting. Officers contacted the subject and learned he was uninjured. Officers located multiple shell casings and bullet damage to nearby buildings.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives responded to the scene and will be leading the investigation. It is unknown what events led up to the shooting and no suspects have been identified.
