Music is a human right – Nordoff and Robbins

Donate today and share the power of music

Imagine if music was the only way you were able to communicate. Now imagine a world with no music.

At Nordoff and Robbins, we believe that everyone deserves to find connection through music, and that access to music is a fundamental human right.

Music therapy can help people of all ages and conditions. This could be a child with autism communicating for the first time, a person living with dementia connecting to someone through music, or someone recovering from a brain injury.

We need your help

Share the power of music today

We deliver over 4,000 music therapy sessions each month all over the UK. Each session costs us £70 but that doesn’t include the cost of the instruments we use. Every little really does help – from donating the cost of a set of drumsticks (£3) to funding new guitar strings (£5). We’re so grateful for anything you can give.

In 2023, our music therapy services continued to reach thousands of people up and down the country…

Who we are

We’re a music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. By using the power of music, we help people break through the barriers they face caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation.

Music therapy is a collaborative process of people making music together. By making music together, then tuning into people’s individual responses, music therapists create a platform for connection, self-expression and social change.

We receive no government funding, so the work we do is built upon the support of people who share our mission.

Music has the power to transform lives
