Update: Coastal flood advisory affecting Ocean County until 2 a.m. Monday

The National Weather Service issued an updated coastal flood advisory at 3:22 p.m. on Sunday in effect until Monday at 2 a.m. for Ocean County.

The weather service states, “Up to one foot of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.”

“Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected,” says the weather service. “If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.”
