Lady Gaga (born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on March 28, 1986) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Gaga signed with Def Jam Recordings in 2006, but was dropped from the label after a year. She then signed with Interscope Records and worked with producer RedOne to develop her signature sound. Her debut album, The Fame, was released in 2008 and was an international success. It spawned the hit singles “Just Dance”, “Poker Face”, and “Paparazzi”.
